About Brigitte's PCOS Diagnosis Journey | PCOS To Wellness

Hello!

My name is Brigitte Warne, and I am Sydney based model, entrepreneur, plant-eating foodie and as of Nov 2017 official ‘cyster'.

I created PCOS To Wellness to share my PCOS Diagnosis journey with women who are having the same struggles. After dealing with PCOS, acne, hair loss and anxiety, I learned how to naturally balance my hormones and hope to help other women do the same.

Here’s a little more about my story:

I had spent the last ten years working as a professional model in Australia and internationally, while also completing two degrees in Health Science (Public health and Health Promotion) and Commerce, along with founding a couple of international businesses along the way.

However in March 2017, after ten years of being on the contraceptive pill (and finally learning about what the pill was actually doing to my body), I decided to stop taking it.

At the time, it didn't even cross my mind that I would have any side effects from coming off the pill, I mean what's the worst that could happen?

If only I knew.

Fast forward eight months later and I had battled with nausea, migraines, hair loss, fatigue, memory loss, no periods, anxiety and acne so bad it made me want to hide away from the world.

I was beyond devastated, depressed and at a loss as to what could be wrong with me.

Over that eight month period I went FIVE different doctors trying to get to the bottom of what was wrong with me. However, other than prescribing me some acne cream and antibiotics they all sent me on my way. Not one of them took me seriously or bothered to look further into it.

But I knew my body, and I knew something wasn't right.

So after nearly one year (and almost completely losing all hope!) I finally found a doctor who reluctantly agreed to let me get blood tests.

Within a few short days, I had a diagnosis.

My doctor sat me down and said: "You have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome... unfortunately you will not be able to have children naturally, and there is no known cure".

I refused to believe this.

After getting my PCOS Diagnosis, I began researching natural remedies, treatments and therapies, which is what brought me to where I am today.

It brings me great joy to tell you that healing PCOS symptoms and even falling pregnant naturally is possible.

In fact not only did I manage to clear up my cystic acne, regrow my hair loss, say good bye to my anxiety and even get my menstrual cycle back, BUT on the March 4, 2019, I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, Flynn James, conceived 100% naturally.

And now, I want to share my journey of how I healed and to this day continue to manage my PCOS symptoms naturally, and I hope that it might help to inspire other women who are struggling like I was to no give up hope.

This is my journey from PCOS to wellness.
